Anika Craney is a visionary artist connected to the elements of the natural world.

I believe that art is all around us, regardless of its creation, to me, art is anything that provokes contemplation or reflects beauty. It is therefore apart of all nature.
My belief is that nature is the truest form of art and that no man can create anything as beautiful or profound as what we can find already existing within nature.
I have called this project ‘growth’, because this relates to the themes within the context of nature. Like we create art nature creates life. Art too can have a life cycle, a beginning and an end.
Through my own practice I am beginning to explore themes of life captured within my forms. I see the life of all beings and the life of the natural universe correspond.
Talents include ceramic art, photography, wood work, body casting, body painting and communication.
